When it comes to hot weather you need to think about what make up you are going to use. Avoid liquid products as they might run, try a powder product instead. Also use a setting spray to keep your make up in place. Make sure your make up also has a spf in it.

Another obvious tip is to put your hair up, this will keep the back of your neck nice and cool.

If you are organizing a wedding and you want it to be outside have you got a shaded area for your guests. Wedding ceremonies tend to be between 12-2, the hottest period of the day. Are you shaded by trees or a marquee? Or could you hand out parasols for your guests?

If you have a summer wedding and it could be very hot why not choose a dress that is a light fabric and a pale colour.

When it is as hot as it has been it is so important to keep hydrated. Therefore make sure you drink plenty of water.

Butter yellow is the new sage green when it comes to spring/summer 2025. Butter yellow is everywhere in the shops and it has become big in the wedding industry too.

When we think of a summer wedding and colours I either think pretty pastels or bright and bold, both work but the point I am trying to make is to use colour. Summer is a colourful time, blue skies, green grass, yellow flowers, red strawberries etc so why not use those summer colours to inspire you and your wedding.

Another reason people believe June is such a popular month for a wedding is because a couple who marry in June would have their first baby in early spring, therefore having a few months to recover before harvest starts. (Not so romantic.)

We are in June! And June is one of the most popular months to get married. There are thought to be a few reasons for this, it was believed that couples who married in June would be blessed with prosperity and happiness.  As the song says in the movie Seven Brides For Seven Brothers “For they say when you marry in June, you will always be a bride.”
